All our boats are built with top quality British steel which is blasted and primed. Epoxy paint is part of our paint plan which is followed by a 40mm approx thick layer of polyurethane foam insulation throughout the interior of the vessel. A number of coats of top quality paint is applied which is of a very high standard and used by many top boat builders which gives a superb finish.  All our timber is carefully inspected before use and has to conform to our very high requirements. A great deal of care is taken to ensure all the interior fittings both timber and electrical are installed to our very fine limits thus assuring a superb finish which is a pleasure to look at. The engineering, mechanical and electrical aspects of the boat are undertaken by engineers who have been building boats for thirty five years or more . The handling qualities of the vessel are first class with the improved propeller and rudder combination and new hull shape. No stone is left unturned in insuring that your boat is delivered to you in first class condition and ready for you to sail away on completion of its trial and your satisfaction. The name of Peter Nicholls is very well known and highly respected in the boat building world for the production of high quality vessels.

The concept of providing a very high specification boat, specially designed for cruising the inland waterways of Europe, has proved highly successful. Since our inception we have launched 32 boats, all of steel construction, several of which are in our hire fleets based at Vermenton on the Canal du Nivernais in Burgundy, at Moissac on the Canal Laterale a la Garonne and at Capestang on the Canal du Midi. EuroClassic Barges are the end product of long experience operating a hire fleet on the canals of France, plus the traditional skills of our boat builder.
